Late Start
Not a good idea to start mid day when you have a climb of almost 3,000ft in the first eight miles, and the first campsites are more than eleven miles away, needless to say we chose only to go in about four or five miles and found a spot near a stream,so we could rest and start early the next day,now did someone remember the matches to light the stove??

Wyoming's Wind River Range
This was our second trip to the wind river range, back in 1999 Joe and I took our first full pack week long adventure, with two well experience hikers Paul Kusko and Chuck Young, they guided us through the Indian Pass Trail to Titcomb Basin, but that's another story to be told sometime later, this trip took Joe and his son Brian and our friend Phil Cox on a rigorous multi-day trip on the Bears Ears Trail, this trail stays above timberline at elevations exceeding 11,000 feet for six miles before we camp.
