The Long Hike Out

We knew the North Fork Trail out was going to be a long one, about fourteen miles mostly flat with a few stream crossings, what we did not take into consideration was the 1,000 ft accent at the end to make it to Dickinson Park,it sure put a good case of the Whoop Ass on us.

Lonesome Lake

Camping in the Lizard Head Meadows for two nights gives us a good base camp for day hikes in the area,and with a view of the Cirque and Lonesome Lake you could not ask for a better spot.

Lizard Head Trail

After reaching the highest point above Dutch Oven Lake,we start a decent down into a saddle where the trail meets the Lizard Head Trail here we will camp in the Lizard Head Meadows area,with a great view Warbonnet and the Warrior peaks, Cirque of the Towers.
