Bryant Shelter

We start hiking in around 11:15am the trail is well maintained our destination is about 6 1/2 km ..Backpacking in our plan is to tent camp for the week,little did we know what we would find that first night.as we reach our camp we also find the Bryant Shelter a cabin with a wood burning stove, a table and a sleeping area....no tent tonight!

"The Hike In"

We pick up supplies in the town of Canmore,so a trip to a Subway store for a hoagie,for the first day hike in,the rest of the trip will be freeze dried food...gotta love those Mtn. House meals,now we had to go to three sporting good stores before we could find bear spray looks like this bear thing could be a serious issue...Oh well onto Shark Mtn trail head for the start of the trip.

"The Great White North"

Okay...It's been awhile since I posted our trips, I'm ready to get back and tell the Banff story,this adventure was something we talked about for many years and did it ever live up to our expectations and more,meeting and making good friends with hopes of future adventures trips with them,and experiencing one of the most beautiful places in North America Banff N. P.
